Following “Hair” at the Raimundtheater in September 2002 will be a brand new musical titled “Wake Up” by Rainhard Fendrich (an Austrian pop singer and actor) and Harold Faltermeyer (a German composer of rock, pop and film music). “Wake Up” is about an ageing pop singer, Ronny, whose life is dominated by his excessive lifestyle, intrigues and addictions. His manager even encourages his inevitable decline since he wants to profit from it. The musical tells the story of Ronny’s “waking up” and finding his independence. It is a musical about the problems of show biz, its dreams, visions and ambitions that promises to be different.
