Еще. Милая девушка Ariarwen великодушно разрешила процитировать ее сообщение из рассылки, посвященной костюмам а ля ВК. Что я и делаю. Итак, про костюмы:

Цитата:
Here is a bit about the costumes from the Toronto stage play by
character type:

Hobbits - The hobbit characters had a bit of padding around the
tummy and bottom to make them really egg-shaped. The fabrics were very, very rough and rustic tweeds, and the feet were made with flesh colored shoes with sculpted toes and just a tuft of hair on the top of the shoe. There is a lot of running about, so bare feet were out. Their dance number was hilarious, and that is all I will say about it.

The people of Bree - Think 1890 lower class workers

Saruman - Think Ming the Merciless

Gandalf - Merlin/ no hat

Aragorn - leather duster and spanish pirate pants

Legolas - been in the woods too long, needs a tailor, rough tunic and pants. really cute tho

Boromir - Bob Marley in winter garb with a nice horn

Gimli - check

Elrond - Fancy robe with biker chains

Arwen - Mists of Avalon outfit and macrome hair

Galadriel - I am still in awe. Headress shaped like slivers of the
moon in silver. Golden hair that morphed into a gold net open weave cape.

The elves all had a marking down one side of the face from above the eyebrow to mid-cheek. Legolas' was black, but the other elves markings were glittery.

Haldir and troupe - silvery nubby togas and pants

Elves of Lorien - silver nubby silk-like fabric shaped like long roman togas with a corset-type garment that laced on the side front

Orcs - on the mark, some had bouncy thingys on their feet for leaping.

Ents - ZZ Top guys on stilts

Black Riders and Horses - CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK - I WANT ONE OF THOSE !!!

Sauron - Way cool in red silk on stilts
