De La Guarda is all these things and more. It's a carnival, rave, theatre, dance and rock concert combination which literally flies over the head of its audience.

De La Guarda is not something you watch, it's something you enter. It's an inspired thrilling world of shadows, lights, and shapes, inhabited by swooping, indistinct roped figures, who thrash, sway, glide and drift through rain sodden smoke-wrapped spaces, to a backing of intoxicating tribal rhythms, dreamy, and haunting by turns.

De La Guarda is beautiful, magical and extraordinary. Just 3,000 people were lucky enough to see the show when it visited the UK for 10 sell out performances as part of LIFT (the London International Festival of Theatre) in 1997.
