Там вообще книжка толковая (помогает за деревьями увидеть лес, так сказать), только маленькая.  Теперь ищу топики, куда можно приткнуть остальные главы.  > Извини, а в Эвите - кровать)))) Между прочим, получится дико концептуально и в кассу. :-)) Брать один (но архиважный для идеи произведения) предмет реквизита и с ним играть.

Dessa Rose
Как-то я упустил... Авторы Рэгтайма - Линн Аренс и Стивен Флаерти выпускают новый мюзикл - Dessa Rose. Превью начались в феврале, премьера - 21 марта.
К сожалению, оф. сайта не нашел. Есть только страничка о постановке на http://www.lct.org/calendar/event_de...ent=8007 6230 Читал отзывы ходивших на превью. Все в восторге, хвалят взахлеб. Начинаю хотеть. )

Dessa Rose
Премьера мюзикла Десса Роуз состоялась. Читаю отзывы, и заинтригован до крайности. Сюжет, музыка - все кажется интересным.

It's the first time I've gotten to really explore American roots music — blues, folk, different hymns, early kinds of gospel, the idea of call-and-response, which was a coded way the slaves communicated so that the white people thought they were just singing. Even though this is an American story, there are a lot of the African sounds — a lot of tribal drums — because these are people from an African culture that had been transplanted in America. It was interesting, finding a way to interface those primitive sounds with American sounds and turn them into a common musical language."

Dessa Rose OBC Recording
Двойной альбом с оригинальным составом Десса Розы - мюзикла от авторов Рэгтайма наконец выходит на аудио. Цена на Амазоне бешеная - 39,98 долл. Зато на CD Universe по-божески берут - 29,27 долл. Не знаю только, доставляют ли они в Россию.
